I met Rheal from Distinctive Audio about a month ago. I first bought a Gold Note Phono preamp. 2nd I bought a Dynavector MC cartridge, he installed it on my turntable. Rheal is the nicest person you can meet. He is very helpful. He goes out of his way to help. He also allowed me to demo the phono preamp before I bought it. I will buy from him again. December 2026. The value of a trusted dealer with years of experience cannot be overstated. My Benz micro cartridge started showing static in one channel, so I headed to see Rheal at Distinctive audio in Ottawa to find out what was amiss. It’s an Oracle Paris with an Alphason Opal Tonearm. Distinctive Audio is a small audio specialist store and a welcome relief to “By Appointment Only” businesses who offer stratospherically priced equipment. The owner Rheal Nadeau is honest and accommodating with competitive pricing. He is one of the few “bricks & mortar” stores remaining in the Ottawa area and being in business for 40 years is a testament itself.
Rheal was a fantastic help today. We worked together to find best A.C. cords and interconnects to compliment and enhance my system. Cardas ruled the day. Very appreciative of Rheal's patience and knowledge. Audiophiles, Distinctive Audio is a destination store. Love my new stereo!
