Called in regarding a test drive for a 2018 VW Golf R, and a $2,000 deposit with a signed purchase agreement is required. As stated via phone call twice (because I couldn't believe it) with the sales representative, the terms for refunding the deposit are: 1. "Severe" mechanical issues 2. Unable to obtain insurance or financing Luxury brand dealerships including Mclaren, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz don't ask for a deposit for a test drive let alone for a $20k 157,000 KM car.
