I can't say enough about Discovery Green. We frequent the complex weekly and love everything from the mini-library to the free Yoga classes. It's a bonus that the park is well conserved and encourages social responsibility. Kudos to the Green!
Panic! At the Disco was worth the anxiety. I love the park too :D
Sad that it's so far from home, I liked this park a lot.
Loved the movie interstellar. Can't wait for the next event.
Its place of relaxation and you may have a lot of fun here
Now that discovery green has taken pokestops away there is no reason to come here. Way to spit in the face of the Houstonians trying to enjoy the park we pay for. Might as well tear it down and put up a Starbucks now. Or I guess you could go to one of their "super fun" free events. However I will most likely not be back. Whoever made this call should be sacked.
Y'all have no parking and don't want to welcome Pokemon Go players even though I haven't seen anyone leave trash or behave badly.
Thoroughly disappointed by Discovery Green's statement against Pokemon Go. While I appreciate the concerns over people remaining within the park after hours, I find it ridiculous that a public space would complain that they're seeing high traffic. Anything that gets people out of their homes and into these community spaces should be celebrated, and Discovery Green should retract their statement as it is counter to their mission and function.
Like most fun activities, there will always be a few bad people to ruin a good thing. It's a shame that Discovery Green, a place where people can enjoy the scenery with family and Friends, at night or during the day is going to pass on the opportunity to keep Houstonians coming. However, with the constant rude security yelling 15 minutes before closing, the swarm of Bees at the snow cone truck, $3 water and the $5-10 parking, we deserve better. I am not happy with the decision, but it's their loss. Not ours.
