I went to see Dave last Thursday with my 93 Chevy s10 4x4 Blazer, needing the transmission rebuilt. Dave told me it would be done the following Thursday and in time for my back surgery, the next day, Friday. Not only was it fixed and finished on Thursday, he also went above and beyond and welded where someone else broke my block where the starter bolts to the block, and replaced the flywheel at almost no added cost. As a single mom and a teacher finding a reliable, honest and friendly mechanic has not been easy. I am so grateful to have found Dave and the entire staff at discount transmission. They have assisted me after hours and on the weekends many times without hesitation. Having peace of mind especially when it comes to transportation is invaluable. I wouldn’t take my vehicle anywhere else. Thank you to everyone there for giving me one less thing to worry about.
Awful, awful, awful. Went there was assured he ordered the right part. Asked 6 times and was told yes. I drove an hour to get there to be told Sorry its not the right part. I can order one for triple the price and unfortunately your vehicle is now not driveable and we can get the part in a day. At that point Im an hour away from home stuck at the shop. Needless to say I had yo have my husband come and get me and my vehicle and was charged 40.00 for labor. Stay away!
