Good Prices but a LONG wait. We have purchase several set of tires from Discount Tire in Lufkin, TX. We also take our cars there to have the tires rotated. The people are friendly and seem very knowledgeable but the wait we experience EVERY time is outrageous. We usually wait a minimum of 2 hours to have any service done. It's insane. If you go there, plan to drop the vehicle off for the day or bring a good book. PROS: Very good prices. CONS: Long wait times.
My father called me on the phone today, severely bothered because he requested that the shop fill his tires to a certain PSI. Not thinking it was an insane request he told the gentleman helping him he was aware of the factory standard (38), but also knew what his tires max psi (80) was and wanted far less than (50) that for a smoother drive. Good brands good price best place on town
I have purchased tires at other Discount Tire stores in other cities for many years, and have been disappointed with the service! But I brought my car in today for the first time to the Lufkin store, and was totally surprised by how I was treated! My appointment was at 12:30, and they had my car in the stall before that time, rotating my tires! From the time I pulled into the parking lot, I was treated with great respect and professionalism!
