DSES is nothing less than AMAZING. Without DSES we would not have been able to come to Mammoth and learn how to snowboard. This foundation is a true lifesaver. Our kids have gained a lot of confidence while learning a new sport and achieving their goals with help of their instructors. I've been worried about how our kids would deal with different instructors this year, but all the instructors are so experienced and well trained that there were no issued at all. This program was wonderful. It felt like family from the first phone call and they were so great with my 10 year old daughter. She is already asking when we can go ski again (it’s been 1 day).

This is such a great charitable organization that provide year round activities for families of disabled and for our wonderful disabled veterans and their families from all over the USA. Mammoth Lakes offers so much to see and to do.
I want to thank Brent Truax, Kathy Copeland, and Katie Johnson for allowing me the opportunity to stay at the Sierra Nevada Resort and Spa for 3 days this past weekend. I asked for advice to find a place to stay at in Mammoth, Kathy went above and beyond for me, and reserved a place for me to stay at. From the bottom of my heart, thank you DSES for all you do for the Active and Vet community.
I am a bk (below knee) amputee and I was fortunate enough to have had lessons at Eastern Sierra. Josh was my instructor and he was fantastic! He was very patient and very encouraging. By the end of the day I was up and riding, and falling of course. Josh instilled the confidence I needed to succeed. I highly recommend Eastern Sierra! Thank you for providing such a valuable service! A special thanks goes out to Josh as well, thanks my dude!
Our 9 year old daughter with Down Syndrome had the time of her life (again, three years later) skiing with DSES. Barbara K and Devin were so incredible with her!! Everyone at DSES should be wearing a halo - they certainly have earned them!
