Most very pricey! Granted, there is a large selection, but the manager tends to get a little overwhelmed with the items and often charges top dollar for yard sale type things, keep in mind that these things are GIVEN to the store for free. Ive also been to the dav in Friendswood just off of Bay area Blvd. and their clothes are WAY cheaper. I mean, what does the lady think shes selling, brand spanking new clothes. Lots of stuff to choice from I have been able to find everything that I was looking for at this place. It is very well organized and easy to go thru. They have reasonable prices and lots of clothes in many sizes. They also take donations on a regular basis and the people are very friendly and helpful.
Disabled American Veterans is good depending on what you are looking for! Being a resident of Alvin, I know a lot of bad things about this place but you gotta remember that this is a thrift store and you can get lucky and find NEW items for less then what the stores sell them for!
Great DAV Thrift Store Looking for cheap or older clothes items? Check out the Alvin DAV thrift store! On most days they have a large selection of clothing items for men, women, and children. I have walked out with several suits on different occassions for a very cheap price. They also carry books, video tapes/dvds, audio cds, home items, artwork, jewelry, and much more. Way too much I agree wholeheartedly...I recently went to San Diego and went thrift store shopping with some friends. I was astonished how cheap they all were as I had gotten so used to this store.
