We are very dissappointed in the service provided by the Disability Network. Several months ago we were assigned a representative to assist with the transition of my sister from a local nursing home. The assistance was non-existent. The transition ended up being handled by another organization. Currently we are trying to obtain registration for the Spectran service, which the Disability Network oversees. Very unhappy with this disability network. Positives: The man who deals with transportation/Spec Tran is wonderful. Very fast to get things done, respond, and send paperwork out. He is great and professional. Negatives: I tried to inquire about a list of accessible housing locations in the area, and was sent a list of places that had….stairs. Christina, in the Owosso office, helped my son find a therapist and pychiatrist after I've been searching for years after moving here from Wayne County. She has been amazing helping my son get signed up for the Living Skills class and setting a spark within him to help him focus on his capabilities instead of being lost in his disabilities.
