Expensive, but he's the only tree service who actually returns calls, so it is what it is. More so than the cost is his word. He initially said he'd "be by first thing in the morning to give an estimate" and didn't show up until 3:30 in the afternoon, and only then after a phone call. Then, the removal appointment was scheduled for Monday afternoon, and he showed up at 8 AM. Not only did this inconvenience us, but also our neighbors. Doug's good crew got the work done and cleaned up just as he said. All was done quickly and carefully. He however is no bargain and there is certainly no value added. After they were here I asked him to remove two additional small trees and he said it would cost $50 more. This additional work took his crew less than ten minutes to accomplish. Seems a little steep on top of an already healthy quote. Nice work if you can get it.
