We cannot recommend highly enough this great team of expert carpenters. Our 102 yr old eyebrow windows were dry rotted and leaking and **** and his helper created new windows from scratch. They came within days of my first contact to estimate the job, came back when they said they would be starting the job and were on site almost every day til the job was finished. We hired Dirigo to do three projects - a bathroom remodel, kitchen countertop and backsplash, and a deck. A big undertaking and a little scary giving some past experience (read trauma ) with other contractors. Dirigo was quick to respond to our inquiry and provided us with a reasonable estimate. The work was top-notch, but their internal and customer-facing communication is weak. 90% of the job was as expected, but the last two items (shower doors) were installed without us approving the particular door. The owner will say they were approved, but that's not the case. One door we never saw pictures of at all, and for the other we got two cellphone pics of a computer screen saying "this is what we typically install." Our camp had a rotting deck with rot spread up into the sill. They gave us a fair bid and even offered a free upgrade from wood planks to synthetic deck planks since they had enough left over in their inventory. The work was done promptly and looks great. We needed an addition jacked. He came out and gave us two estimates, one temporary and one ridiculously high (tens of thousands) We decided on the lesser of the two which was still over two thousand. Said he'd re level the door etc. The day prior he said he was going to just make it safe for the winter. Client was provided a bid. That amount was determined by material costs. transportation time, office time, and labor to repair an addition that was pulling away from home. It was ready to fall off the house. (Contractors in the past they say but the addition was not properly supported.) They were charged the bid amount as we contracted with them per state law. Like all contacting work and high expense, it is nerve wracking to get projects started. This company makes it ************ quick responds and answers all questions, and suggestions. Also, being 'BBB' accredited and a good track record helps with accountability, not a ********** ****** looking for work. I would totally hire these guys again. I had my roof replaced, btw.

This company is a fraud. At first ***** will be great to deal with. He is a good talker and has an answer to all your questions. Once the job starts he disappears and the only way of communicating is through email. ***** does not follow through with anything that he tells you before the job is started. His work crew were nice guys but from the first day the work was terrible. I had to fire them after 6 days on the job. The shower was partly installed not complete. We rushed making sure you had a place to bathe. That is normal when only one bathroom exists. When you only have the wifes car to work you do what you need too and get the job done. Especially when the owner had health issues and could not make the delivery or unload debris from your job site.
