Attended my first board meeting yesterday after 11 years as a home owner in one of their managed communities. The board and representatives were the most unprofessional group I have ever dealt with. They do not look to represent the owners, just themselves, this reminded me of a third world dictatorship, The meeting was adjourned with no resolution outside of the board asking the owners for more money to be paid on their monthly dues.

The Board meeting referenced in this review was held to levy a special assessment to cover the cost for a significantly increased (doubled) insurance premium. The premium increase was the result of both an open claim at the time of insurance renewal and the current insurance carrier (which had an AM Excellent rating at the time the policy was purchased) was declared insolvent immediately prior to the renewal date. I am a homeowner in one of their communities. It is horrible. My monthly dues are over $500 and yet our landscaping is horrible, dead trees, bushes, etc. Our grass is dead, we have been asking for new sod for 5 years, and they do not allow any type of pot/plant to be placed outside of your home. It is almost as if they are TRYING to lower my home value.
