Honestly the worst thing to get yourself and your money involved in. I constantly find things cheaper online through regular means and I don't have to pay for shipping and I get it in a few days. With these guys, I am giving them my fees and NOTHING is Cheaper! If it is, I still have to pay the freight and wait 6 week. It ends up costing me more plus time!
Being called over and over is bad enough but the fact its a voice recognition fake person makes it even worse. Then to top off this cheesy nonsense when you tell them to stop calling there is fake keyboard sounds and everything. Jesus these people are bad.
My wife and I have been members for a very long time. We joined when it was called United Consumers Club and still in Richardson. It has since changed locations a couple of times as well as the name. If your doing a remodel you will save a ton of $$$. If your dealing with the location in Addison, you need to know what you want because they only have 3 employees, so minimal design help. I prefer the location in Ft Worth, especially if you need assistance with products. It does suck that the website only displays 60% of the actual inventory. A little pain in the a$$. But will manage to save 40% (estimate) on my purchases.
All of the reviews are pretty much true. The negative ones are generally from people that DirectBuy isn't for. That's fine, it's not for everyone. For my wife and I, in our ten+ years of membership, we have saved literally over $100k in buying window treatments and media room equipment for one house, a complete kitchen remodel in a second, and most recently a bathroom remodel and quite a bit of new furniture in a third.
