My wife was charged a $425 "New Patient Fee" that we now have to pay after insurance. This fee isn’t for a service she actually received—it’s just billed as part of the deductible. After speaking with the BBB, here’s the takeaway: With insurance: they can legally charge this fee as part of your deductible. Was told we wouldn't be charged for our visit as my daughter was too young for X-rays and they charged us anyway and lied about what was said during our visit. Do not go here. The office staff is kind, but any billing issues will not land in your favor.
WALKED-IN (limped more accurately) and out within an hour. Wednesday morning I suspected I broke my toe but didn’t want to go to an urgent care or ER. A friend told me about DOC. I walked in, had an x-ray, and spoke with a physician within an hour. My toe was broken and if it hadn’t been for DOC I’d likely have gone without treatment. The office was clean, the staff was kind, the process efficient. Highly recommend.
I have been here for 4 different injuries. All but 1 has been helped, but never really fully fixed. The way they bill is really inconvenient.. I ask every time if I need to pay a co pay, they say no. And then a year later they send a huge bill. They have explained it all to me. It's a bunch of red tape for them, and insurance companies are hard to bill in the moment. I injured some rib muscles wrestling with the grandsons. We thought I might have fractured some ribs but the prompt X-rays revealed no fractures and I was given a plan of treatment. Dr Hosch was so thorough and was probably the most friendly doctor I have ever had. We were from out of town but if I lived in Nampa Idaho, I would definitely recommend Dr Hosch for any urgent care needs.
