Ladies and gentlemen, it is time to remove the stilettos and formal jackets from your wardrobe. This old town treasure is elegant and chic and the perfect example of a pre-theater restaurant. The golden walls and the wooden floors make the décor welcoming and fancy, while the uncomplicated menu makes guests feel right at home. Try the pastas in different sauces or go for the thin and crispy pizzas with toppings of your choice. The non-adventurous can stick to the chicken dishes and maybe order one of the wholesome sal... read more

Tri-Color Pasta To Die For – Took a date to Dinotto on a Saturday night. The place is packed together very tightly, so waiters keep bumping into you on the way to other tables. In terms of service, though, our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful, and they were happy to bring extra plates so my date and I could share dishes. As to the food: The 'signature' house salad was decent, though not worthy of hoopla. The tri-color pasta, however, was one of the freshest, best pasta dishes I've had in years...the ricotta inside,... read more
Best Italian food in Chicago – Service and food is exceptional and consistant. The atmosphere is casual and the outdoor area takes you to a place outside of Chicago.
Great! – Great food the best, and wonderfull service very friendly people
Just like a Family – Dinotto is a great place to eat and have a good time. This restaurant far exceeds its expectations and is highly recommended. I did not know what to expect my first time there, but I was completely blown away. Everyone there was friendly, and treated me like if I was the owner. I enjoy visiting Dinotto very much. JC and Dino are awesome!
User review by loyda – Dinotto Restaurant, is one of the best Italian restaurants in Chicago. Great food, great wines, great service, great ambiance!. We strongly recomend it!!.
Family – Having dinner at Dinotto Ristorante is like having dinner with your family and your best friends. The food is extraordinary, the staff are like our family, warm and welcoming and Dino and JC treat us as if we are their best friends. For 16 years we have enjoyed going there regularly. I bring clients and friends and always know they will be treated well. In the summer, we look forward to their outside seating...It is so City and full of energy. It is my 14 yr old grand-daughters favorit restaurant...
Excellent Italian – Great Food and Atmosphere, loved the prices on the wine list, very fair! Had the lasagne here and loved it, lots of sauce and meat. My friend had their Tuna special and it was excellent too. We haven't had Italian this good in a long time, be back soon, I promise! can we sit outside soon?
A bit over priced – I enjoyed every dish in the outdoor patio, inside is just as nice. Big place, looks good for groups. Price range is a bit higher than expected.
it was just okay... – With the four of us we sampled everything from the veal to the chicken to the ravolis. While the food seemed fresh, the flavor was lacking. Wine list was good but very expensive. If you go, sit in the front. The back has no appeal. Desserts were okay except the Tira-me-su, which was tasty. Dinner for four with drinks was around $200. A bit pricey for what the food and atmosphere was. Would not go again.
