I would not recommend this provider based on my recent experience despite her good beside manner and despite the fact that I initially had so much faith and hope in her. After a miscarriage, I was in ongoing pain with ovarian cysts actively forming and rupturing. Instead of offering timely relief, I was told I had to wait until my hCG levels reached zero before starting birth control — even though national guidelines (ACOG, WHO) state that contraception can be started immediately in these situations. I had an incredible experience from finding out I was pregnant to delivery of my son. Dr. Gottesman and the entire office respected my wishes, answered all my questions, and only ever treated my family with respect. They are truly one of the best medical facilities I have ever been to!
Felt very comfortable. She would tell me what she was about to do before she did it. Kind and calm during me not being so kind and calm. If I have another baby I would request her to birth him or her.
I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Gottesman and she was wonderful. She took the time to sit down and talk with me about concerns around perimenopause and had a warm and caring attitude that I hadn’t experienced with my previous OBGYN and another I had an initial appointment with while trying to find a new practice. I had to wait for an appointment, but I’m so glad I did.
