One of my favorites whether in Taipei, Singapore or now here in the SF Bay Area. And it didn't disappoint this time either.
The atmosphere is good. Contemporary decorations with a big old Shanghai Ding Tai Fung picture inside. I think the food is only average comparing to Hong Kong and Taipei Ding Tai Fung and in small portion. Average $25 pp for lunch. Good service as there are lots of waiters. Of course including a bunch of people wrapping dumpling right before they steam it. But overall, this store cannot hold the standard of its brand!
If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The food was mind blowing, the design layout was stellar, and the overall experience was top notch. Seeing our food being prepared through the glass display added a nice touch.
Not impressed at all Small portion n hella expensive...
