Hello, I am Barbara Hoefener, FNP – Family Nurse Practitioner. We work with teens to elderly, focusing on addiction, COPD, BP, HR, Thyroid, Weight, Smoking, annual physical and labs. Barb graduated w masters from Emory in 2016 and has National certification as a FNP. She has worked in the Emergency Department, nursing home, Shephard Center (brain and spinal injury hospital), doing therapy with kids with disabilities (MS, MD, DS, Autism) and volunteers in free clinics.

Great doctor! Love that he does an annual exam! My first exam with her she found a nodule on my thyroid that ended up being cancerous. No other doctor found a nodule during my exams. Highly recommend her.
Always on time or early, shows real care and interest in her patients, easy to talk with, and overall my best doctors experience, and I have been in and out of the hospital with several conditions from back surgery and pain management to seizures, ptsd, and anxiety disorder, plus recently luekopenia, and she has been well versed, and often knew more than even the specialist with Neurology and oncology. All in all, I couldn't ask for a better care provider.
I have been a patient of Barbs for 6 year’s. She is wonderful. She is compassionate with her patients. She makes sure you get the best care needed. Barb goes above and beyond. Thank you Barb for all that you do. Your the Best!
Re: I followed your policy to the letter. When I went into Quest to do the fasting labs, they had no record of an order from Barbara Hoefener or Digital Clinicians. Kind of hard to do the labs you require if you never sent the order. As far as addressing things, I have thank you. I have appropriate care from a provider who won't suddenly pull the rug out from under me when I have otherwise done everything asked of me. I posted this warning to others for good reason. I've been with her for year's and I thought maybe she doesn't listen or hear what I say sometimes, and it really concerns me, how easily she forgets what's going on ?? And how forceful Barbara is with her opinion. She actually yelled and reprimanded me about being too "lenient and easy" on me. For pain management, who and why ??, would anyone request pee from a patient 2 times a week and telling me it's in some contract. Strangest experience ever. I would not recommend her at all, after the bizarre outburst at me.
