All the horror stories you read are from oversensitive people you have to remember that it is your safety out there and the safety of other shooters the range officer just doing their jobs I personally love this place and continue to go
Took the family there yesterday and we enjoyed it! Staff was all great and I agree with others that they are nothing more than direct. Saw some real knukleheads who might have been shooting for the very first time. While they were called out they were done so professionally as the shooters were putting others at risk. Place could certainly use a better road to access the place!
I took my Brother n Law to Dietz range yesterday. He came down for Thanksgiving and was looking for a place to shoot. Once we arrived on the firing line, we heard the safety officer (wearing a USMC jacket) talking in a condescending manner to the shooters. I am a Marine myself and was extremely embarrassed of an individual wearing the EGA, while conducting himself in an unprofessional manner. The office was no better. I took my shotgun to fire. Rangers are friendly, $15 for the day is tough to beat.
I have been going there for years, never had any problems. I think everyone is easy going and I meet interesting people there. I like it.
I visited this range for the first time last weekend and I enjoyed myself. I heard all the horror stories about the range officers being rude and I was prepared to be yelled at. I was pleasantly relieved when they acted professially and helpful. They did have to correct some shooters, but they needed correcting. The pistol range is different from other ranges I have been to, but I liked it. I'll definitely be back, hopefully the same range officers will be there.
