The staff was snooty. They acted half offended by me asking where the fishing section was. By the way, did you know this Dick's has no fishing section? Like... at all? what kind of so-called "sporting goods" store doesn't have a fishing section? I know they got rid of guns because of shootings, but fishing!? I guess it's fine if you want ball-related sports gear. But it's more of a glorified sports-themed clothing shop than an actual "sporting goods" store. Not at this time because trying to get a decent price kayak or canoe at the Fort Lauderdale store is virtually impossible. They have some really good prices but by the time you pay the shipping it cost just as much is the item does and less they have it in stock in Fort Lauderdale where you can come and pick it up and they claim that they do but for a month I’ve sent letters text I’d like to pick it up at the Fort Lauderdale store and no response so why do I want to pay $200 for a kayak and then pay $200 for it to be shipped... read more
Ordered a shirt from Dick's online, it said to do the curbside pickup and check in when you get here. Checked in, it's been 15 minutes. So I called and the girl said it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to to get my product. What's the point of doing an email confirmation saying your product is ready and waiting another 30 minutes to an hour in the parking lot?
On March 31st I ordered a bike from the Garden City, NY location. Went on April 1st to pick it up. Every email and text I got told me to stay in my car and they would load it in my car for safety from COVID-19. Being somewhat weary about ordering anything during this time, the fact they loaded in it for me made me feel a little easier. When the man came out, I said, “should I open the trunk?”.
