The burnt almond has been so memorable to my taste buds that even 30 years after I relocated with my job 120 miles away, I still try to get visitors to grab a cake on their way over. Hearing about the fire was heartfelt and sad. However, it's comeback is exciting. If you need taste testers to make sure new ovens are on point, no need to look further. Welcome back to the hearts of many.
Love Dicks Bakery. Made my 5 tiered wedding cake 43 years ago. Love their burnt almond cake and have for many years. Can't wait until they reopen. Sure have missed them.

Dicks bakery is the #1 bakery in San Jose, above all, no doubt, hands down!! My family has been customers since forever, one of my cousins even worked there in like the 1960's. I am so glad they are reopening, I will definitely be there for the re-grand opening to show my appreciation..
I cannot wait for them to open up again!!! I served their burnt almond cake to 150+ people at a party and even stuffed they went for more!
