This was the best gun store in the United States. Small in scale, it had both the character of a museum and charm of an old fashion country store. Combined, Dick Seelinger and Charlie Allaman had more gun knowledge than any other people in the industry. No....it wasn't the place to purchase a Walmart special; you'd go there to see or order quality sporting arms not on hand in any other gun store anywhere else. I went there some years back with my wife. We're black and have our ccw. I asked to see a 38 revolver for my wife and all of a sudden the guy behind the counter starts yelling at us and saying what we're doing is called a straw purchase and told us to get out etc!! So embarrassing. And the rest of those good ol boys started staring like they wanted to do something. When we pulled out our ccw he began to apologize. We walked out and never returned.
