I do not recommend this doctor. In 2016, when I was 16, I found out I had a really rare condition called OHVIRA syndrome. I had been out as trans by that point and even after telling her that, she continued to misgender and dead name me through out the whole process. She said she had to touch me to see if she could connect the two uterus' and when I said I didn't want to be touched, I was told either be touched or be in pain. Dr. Merritt is great however the office staff left my daughter and me sitting in the waiting room for an hour before they asked about our appointment time even though we had signed in. We then learned they did not even have us on the schedule. Why have a sign in board if it is not going to be checked frequently by office staff so we could have caught this earlier? This apparently occurred last week as well with another patient. The did still see us but 2 hours after the appointment time.

The absolute best doctor there is! She saved my life when no one else had a clue why I was having severe pain. She is personable and genuinely is concerned about her patients. She always thoroughly explains everything and likes to give visuals about what the problem is. I was only 17 when I had my first exam and thanks to her it set the stage for my gynecological care for the rest of my life. She is gentle and very descriptive so even her youngest patients can understand and feel comfortable.
