I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Winters. I was sent to Huntsville Hospital's ER with severe abdominal pain and discovered that I needed my gallbladder removed. Dr. Winters was the surgeon on call and treated me with kindness and respect. She explained things to me and assured me that she knew what to do. I found out later she's a partner at the General Surgery Associates where another wonderful surgeon, Dr. Vevon, works. Since Dr. Vevon is retiring, I'm pleased to know I will now become a patient of Dr. Winter... read more

Let me start be saying I never write reviews but this one was needed! Dr. Winters was not friendly at all. And when I expressed my concerns and issues she just talked over me. The visit was a complete waste of time. She is not patient focused at all! Would nit recommend.

Repaired a hole in my stomach created by a GI doctor in May 2017. Due to her and Dr. Boyettes efforts I survived sepsis shock thru a six week coma and am alive today (Aug-2019). My chances of survival were less than 5% due to my age.

Dr. Winters is an excellent surgeon. The after surgery care was outstanding. She never rushes and always willing to work with any concerns you may have. She goes above and beyond in her patient care!

The day of my gallbladder removal I was scheduled for the 1st surgery of the day 7am. She did NOT get to crestwood until 11:30!!!! The nurses acted as if this was standard for her. Then without asking what kind of job I had, she sent me back to work too soon and the nurses at work sent me back home for 2 more weeks and because Dr. Winters would NOT return the Work nurses call, I didn’t get paid for those 2 weeks. Also on my final check up she processed to try to schedule me for gastric bypass...

I was extremely pleased with the whole experience of my gallbladder removal by Dr. Winters. From the first appointment all the way through what turned out to be more of a challenging procedure than expected, Dr. Winters made me feel confident in her abilities as a surgeon. Her "bedside manner" was great, very patient oriented, and didn't mind the many questions and requests for further explanation when asked. She made me feel that my issues were important to her.

Had a colon re-section due to a colon tear that occurred by another surgeon. Dr. Winters has me on the road to recovery. Her knowledge, surgical expertise and bedside manner are extraordinary. Thank you Dr. Winters!!!
