Purchased a ring from there. Just picked it up. They charged us higher price than one on the evaluation - really overpriced. I feel like an idiot. In addition the craftsmanship execution of the ring was so poor - I would have given "F" grade on craftsmanship. It is back in the workshop, but really would not get that much better - the bottom of the prongs are so quite disappointing - how they executed it.
At this point, I was put off by the experience enough that I wanted to come back and purchase the ring when I was in a more jovial frame of mind. We were picking out a ring for the biggest and happiest commitment of my life, right? Unless it is a diamond ring they Do Not stand behind their products. Spent quite a bit of money on a diamond they check, clean, etc. Braclets no, they tell don't wear doing certain things, fine still breaks. Don't do this it breaks very poor quality now I have to pay to fix. It's not true about their quality for less money. It's all hype. They ignore you most if the time in the store. We have bought several things there and it's nothing like the advertisement. Won't buy anything else from them.
Diamonds Direct told me they were going to let me borrow anything I wanted to wear from their entire store for my wedding. This was their suggestion not my suggestion. I was so excited and grateful! They promised me this when we bought my engagement ring~ 6 months before our wedding. I came back in about 4 weeks before our wedding to select the promised jewelry accessories. Diamonds Direct was a fantastic experience!!! Karen was very knowledgeable about their diamonds and offerings. Service was top notch and I never felt pressured throughout the whole process. I give them a 5 star rating and will be using them for our future purchases.
Going to Diamonds Direct was the worst decision me & my fiancé ever made. Once we picked out the stone & setting, everything else was a complete nightmare! And while you read this, keep in mind that we are talking about a 2+ carat diamond. If you think you are getting a good value, think again. You definitely get what you pay for. They never explained that EGL certified stones are two color grades less than GIA stones.
