Extremely Disappointing Experience – Do Not Recommend! I would give them zero stars if possible. I strongly advise against hiring this company for solar panel installation. They took the full payment but have still not installed the batteries, even after 9 months. It took them over three months just to schedule and complete the solar panel installation. Further Update: Not surprisingly, Diamond Renewable Energy did not complete the installation by the agreed upon date of Sept 30th. In his texts regarding the batteries, as recently as yesterday, he stated "Enroute to the supplier, I'll have an arrival time shortly, thank you sir", which turned out to be nothing but more BS.... The batteries were not delivered to me yesterday, or even today like he said they would be in another text later that same day! Update: Cole has acknowledged that he does not currently have the available funds to replace the 9.6KW inverter with the proper 16KW inverter. Whether this situation is temporary or not, is unclear. This is utterly ridiculous when he insists on 75% deposits! I have purchased the correct 16KW inverter myself from another company online, and it was delivered this past week. What a terrible experience with this company. Well over a year and a job that's still not complete. The owner "Cole" always with empty words and promises but hasn't done anything on time.. always excuses, delays, never met even 1 deadline. I should copy and paste my communications with him over the last year. It's unbelievable that the Canada Green homes program allowed this company to take on projects. I made a very big mistake when I hired Diamond Renewable Energy. Their sales person said all the right things during the initial discussions, and I then paid the 75% deposit Cole insisted on. I should have listened to my gut, and walked away then. Communication has been terrible, and when Cole does reply with commitments, he rarely follows through. Multiple final completion dates have come and gone, with nothing but excuses, including blaming his own suppliers for his lack of organization / planning. In my opinion, they are ... read more
