I am posting this under my husband's google acct as I don't have one. My name is Fran P. and I am a patient of Dr. Deshmukh at the Diabetes and Endocrine Center in Dracut. After being on a prescription the doctor prescribed for me, the insurance has decided after 7 months, they are no longer going to cover it. Great! I’m so sad about this. I moved my parents up here to be closer to us take better care of them. But they lost their doctors especially an excellent endocrinologist. I was sure I selected good doctors up here except our experience with this office has been pretty rough. Diabetes care is life sustaining for my dad. So the unkindness of one particular nurse was very disheartening. My dad is almost 90 and my mom has Alzheimer’s so life isn’t easy and this nurse lacked empathy to say the least. Initial visit was good, informative and gave me a starting point. Second and last appointment was terrible. I arrived at 9.58am for a 10.10am appointment and waited until 10.30am before letting the reception know, i was told there was no rooms available dispite watching 3 patients who arrived after me get seen before me, but okay. I waited a further 15 minutes before being seen by the LPN who told me the Dr was running behind schedule. Dracut Diabetes and Endocrine Center is not competent, neither do they care for the well being of their patients. I put in an inquiry regarding DIY Loop Algorithm training a month ago and still have not received an answer. It’s a simple yes or no question. Staff has no insight on how to manage blood sugars and patient questions are quickly dismissed as unimportant. Please seek a healthcare team elsewhere.
