Why, WHY does it take 8-12 WEEKS, yes WEEKS to get a final answer evaluation diagnosis? Had I known this I would have had our pediatrician find a different doctor. Everyone I tell about it taking this longs says that it’s a crazy amount. I agree. I had my Giles diagnosed in the past and only had to wait MAX 2 weeks. His PCP, therapist and school all tel me it shouldn’t take this long. Yet when I call I get told it’ll be another 3 weeks. At this point I could have went elsewhere and gotten a new one. My step son was tested for autism, so we thought the test only took 10 mins and he was not tested correctly. Her methods were not correct. She stated he does not make eye contact (yes because he doesn't know her) she stated that he does not have any grip which is not true he does all that when he is home and around people he knows. She did not give us any information about her. She talked to us and said that we need to call our sons name by his real name and he can't have any nicknames she was really pushing for their therap... read more
