Dexter's went out of there way to accommodate a recent event we hosted. Very attentive and reasonably priced. I will definitely be holding this event there again, for sure!
I had heard a lot of great things about the food. Went for brunch on Sunday. Started out with a hot tea. The water wasn't hot enough to brew the tea. Then the food came out cold. They did remake the cold food which came out hot on the second go round but by that time my husband was done eating. Took forever to get the check. Won't repeat.
Dexter's - TWO STRIKES = OUT – We always give a restaurant 2 chances and Dexter's blew it both times even though we've heard some favorable comments. Perhaps they've fallen to the classic trap of believing their own press is forever... instead of being sure to maintain quality of food and service. A NASTY BIG CRAWLING THING WAS IN MY SALAD. THE WAITRESS WAS RUDE AND GAVE US HORRIBLE SERVICE CAME TO THE TABLE 1 TIME TO GIVE US OUR CHECK. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL EAT THERE. Always impressed.. – I've been to Dexter's in Winter Park, Lake Mary and Thornton Park, and each location is excellent! The everyday menu items - for both lunch and dinner - offer a lot of variety (I have not yet had something I did not like), and are moderately priced. The wine list is extensive, and the specialty drinks are awesome! The live music is sometimes a little too loud, but it's far nicer than a traditional "bar".
They've Got It – Whatever it is that you're looking for, I bet Dexter's has it. Great selection of wines, and everything from great big salads to some excellent pasta dishes. The eggplant portabello sundried pesto pasta bake was outstanding, and the eggplant napoleon was great even re-heated two days later. Check them out!
