I was originally told that the title agency would need the original Power of Attorney (a copy would not due) for recording, and "they would make sure got it back." I offered to show it to them, but I was told that "I understand the importance of your wanting to retain the Power of Attorney, however, the county requires the original recorded with the Deed at the sale of the property. you will not be able to sell the property without momentarily relinquishing the original to be recorded at the county."
