Sunday night is 1/2 price bottles of wine!!! We love the ambiance, but found our food was hit and miss. My husband ordered the scallop special. The hickory dusting was overdone and masked the sweetness of the scallops. I had the crab cakes, which were scrumptious, but the mashed potatoes were cold (and who thinks mashed potatoes are a good side with crab anyhow?). The replacement potatoes came back on a hot dish and tasted hot, but gluey, suggesting microwaved to warm up. I've eaten there at lunch with better success.
I stopped this evening after attending the Milwaukee Rep's EXCELLENT performance of "Man of La Mancha." Through Devon's website, I learned that there is Happy Hour on Sundays; this includes One Buck Shuck$1 oysters), as well as specially-priced aps and hand-crafted cocktails. I was greeted warmly at the bar. When I confessed that I didn't know much about oysters, and that this seemed to be the ideal way to learn, the bartender pointed out the two most-ordered varieties. So I wasn't ready to place my drink order and asked the waitress (white) to come back to me (African American). She then said we will just save you for the "Back of The Bus". I immediately said to my daughter who was seated next to me " I can't believe she said that". Love Devons! Every dish I've had has been perfect. Best part of Devons? Sunday Brunch. All you can eat with so many selections. You must visit their Brunch menu. ��
The server was great but the food was not, the prices are way too high for the quality of food. Would not recommend coming here if you want to get the quality of the dishes for the amount of money that you pay. My server was amazing but the food was not worth it
Went there for sip and paint with my friend and it was very nice. The food was delicious:)
It was not what I expected. Took my mom to dinner and I had never been here so decided to try it. Our server was great. For the price of the entrees and sides you barely get anything on your plate. The steak I had was dry but the salmon was very good. Beautiful restaurant though.
We had terrific service and delicious food/drinks. And Devon was supporting ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis so I ran into many, many friends and an ABCD Board member. Will be back!
