this place is by far one of the worst psychiatric places I have ever gone to get help. When I was 13 I was put into this place until I was 15 years old and if you just showed the slightest bit of agitation they would hold you down and stick a needle in your ass. Their therapist for half-assed they didn't really talk to you the way you should have been talked to and I vow that I would never ever send my kids to somewhere like this. I went to Mapleton from 1997 - 1999. The place changed my life for the better as I learned how to become a non-angry person at the world, I graduated high school and the demons that I had are no more inside of me. I am now a famous sports marketing agent, I am a college graduate, I own several brands and I have the #1 upcoming reality tv series on Amazon Prime. In the schools The hospital The residential Staff are mentally emotionally and physically abusive.they have no regard for your past traumas issues feelings or anything. They could care less about you or your issues. They take their anger out on the kids with depression and fear the kids with aggression. They lack any caring bone in the heartless bodies. This place is abusive and unhelpful. I still get nightmares about it sometimes. I went there for PTSD and came out with more PTSD symptoms than before. I am traumatized from this place. It also is more for aggressive, angry, defiant kids. As somebody who doesn't have these issues, it was terrifying. But they accept anybody, regardless of symptoms.
