Please do not send your loved ones here. I was a patient here back in 2018, and it was the worst treatment imaginable. Even though everyone/everything is awful, I did have an amazing therapist. Amber Thomas was one of the only staff members there that I could see truly cared for me. A big issue I had with this place was the terrible staff. Instead of being compassionate, they were very rude and it was obvious they hated their jobs. I was a teacher from October 2021 - May 2022. It was absolutely the worst place I have ever worked. The teachers have no rights in the school to educate their students. The DSP’s run the school and the horrible living quarters the students are housed in. The state should investigate the Kennesaw location. If someone really cared about the mental health of these poor kids, this place would be shut down.
