Detzis was established in 1960 by Mary and LeRoy "Reno" Detzi. It is now owned and operated by their triplet sons; John, Joe, and Jeff. As a family owned business for 50 years, we take great pride in our newly renovated bar and restaurant. A Slate Belt landmark located in Wind Gap, PA, the Tavern has a sports theme interior. Excellent service. Delicious food. Went on wing night. Old Bay dry rub was our favorite. Many flavors to choose from. Easily accommodated our party of 15.
Yummy a little expensive food was very good
Just had an awesome dinner here with two of my best trail buddies while hiking the Appalachian Trail. We heard from other hikers how friendly this place is, and they were right. I had the meatloaf, my friend got the spaghetti and meatballs, and Walnut (his trail name) had the steak sandwich—everything was delicious. They even have a great deal on a pitcher of beer, which hit the spot after a long day. We met the owner, Shiloh, who is super nice and even let us camp under her big tree out back.
