As a manufacturer we cannot control the length of time it takes for the dealer to contract the delivery and set up for the consumer. Our service manager did a on-site inspection with the dealer and the customers and scheduled a service tech for the list of items identified. On our scheduled appointment our service techs were not able to fix or finish any items listed due to no electricity or water hook up. I was under the impression the Destiny built a fine home but found their homes to be poorly constructed. We bought a 2 story, 4 box unit and simply did not fit together. One part was 1.5 inches larger than the other. The wall are slanted, the door jams are poorly cut, the cabinets are a joke. Add to that, the joists are uneven, the floors are uneven, and the workers installed the staircase backwards. There is no quality control and zero following the engineered drawings. I've ordered multiple Destiny's for customer and have had nothing but excitement and appreciation when they turn the key to their new home for the first time. These homes are quality and beauty put into one. I can not stress enough to look into them as your builder. These are not your grandmas trailers... These are homes that outshine most site built homes we have seen.
Cheap, Cheap, Cheap! Low quality products including appliances. Appliances go out in or malfunction within year. cheap crumbly sheetrock even though I ordered the highest grade they offered. Doors are crooked. Floors bowed (have pictures) they came and "Fixed" they cut the floor joists and now floor sags and creaks everywhere. All tile work is crumbly and poorly done. The plumbing under our house built in 2016 has come undone and flooded the insulation and subfloor. The plumbing under our house built in 2016 has come undone and flooded the insulation and subfloor. I called to talk to someone about our warranty, they stated our warranty ran out 1/18/2017. They only have a 1 year warranty. It is something that had to come from the factory because the piping is between the insulation and subfloor. They are terrible people.
Shoddy workmanship and pass the buck is the name of their game. Service after the sale? NON EXISTENT. Seeking to take legal action against them for their shady practices. This is only a small example if the shoddy workmanship found throughout this $135k home that is supposed to be for our retirement years.
