Unethical organization. the locals and hospitals want LESS tourists. this is simply the privileged ignoring their impact while the ego rationalizes it.
RecommendedI have been using DL for 11 years. I have stayed at 5 different locations now. I most recently stayed at Cottonwood Shores. I personally would never come back to that one. I think the house is really nice and the location is beautiful but you can't have 14 people and not make noise. the rules state that you can't even have "loud conversation" no "loud television or music" and after 10 they expect "absolute quiet". I would say this would be great for senior citizens who are in bed before 10, but they usually watch their tv's ... read more

Stayed at Ahrens Haus June 25th-27th 2017 Great location so close to town! Watch out for "The Creature"! Walking back into house from hot tub, a dark wolf-like creature with quills on its back darted from the bushes and knocked down a member in our party (14 year old girl)...you'll have to read the in-house journal for the whole story, but she has gained strange new powers... night vision and excessive strength being a couple examples! ���
Love! Great for large family get togethers and an awesome experience for friends and family visiting from New York!
