I have been the president of the HOA of a Destination Homes built community for more than three years and I have seen first hand all of the corners that have been cut in an effort by Destination to save a buck and the problems that have come from them. Porly built homes is just the start of their issues, what is worse is the corners that they cut by Destination as a developer on the community level. I purchased a Destination Home house (Shady Springs- Pleasant View, Utah) and I am quite disappointed with their work. I paid top dollar for the home in 2008 and within a year, I was having numerous problems such and drywall cracking, nail pops, hardwood floors separating, door locks that quit working, and a faucet that needed to be replaced. On the exterior, my stucco has been cracking like crazy and my cement has been cracking and the top layer has flaked off (spalling). Cement is of course not covered by Destination Homes... read more
Promises not kept. Some materials are ok, others are cheap and fell apart quickly.
Cheaply built homes and horrible HOA.
