Went in because I've had a migraine for 6 days. The nurse asked me what my general doctor said. Explained I'm not from area and don't have a primary. There was not a single person in ER today. They were all sitting there talking about food. Nurse told me there are several doctors to choose from in area and left me in triage room to wait for doctor. I wouldn't have minded the rude tone and leaving me in a room with blinding lights if they had a bunch of patients, however there was not a single patient in there. We ended up le... read more
While DeSoto Regional has some excellent hard working employees, the ER department is not somewhere I would recommend unless you have to go there. They do not prioritize your feelings or your needs as a patient and some of the “nurses” cannot even properly prepare an IV. It makes me uncomfortable to see unpreparedness in such an important area of this healthcare system.
