We had the unfortunate experience of Visiting the orthopedic office in Palm Springs with "Dr. Patel" and her horribly rude assistant. First we see the assistant who was extremely rude right away and we really confused why she had a mask half on and infected piercings on her face. When we told her why we were there she tried telling me that isn't what the referral said. After looking at the referral We were correct and she still argued with us. The customer service and phone systems is like navigating a 3rd world country- they do NOT want to help you and are fine if you get frustrated and or not helped and go to another facility like UCI or UCLA and drive all day for appts. For example you’ll navigate an unhelpful automated phone system and wait on hold fur 15-30 min to talk to a live human that then won’t be able to answer your question and out you back on hold for who Knows how long or hang up on you. Extremely disappointing experience when I turned for help with a hip problem. Misdiagnosed as bursitis. Physical therapy and cortisone injection brought no relief from pain. Difficult to make follow up appointments, no urgency whatsoever. The PA I saw doesn't listen and conveyed an attitude that you were absolutely not a priority. Weeks passed between scheduling diagnostic procedures (scans). Days turn to weeks for procedures to be scheduled.
