Came in from out of state and everywhere we went everyone was awesome except here... They wouldnt allow us in their shop because we weren't in the state 14 days... They werent all out rude, but also not very nice... This is outside of state law & CDC protocol & just flat out poor bussiness... We arrived with masks on per cdc/state/County advised and prepared to follow all social distancing guidelines but still refused service... Alan, we apologize for the inconvenience of the new requirements at Desert Gems. Since reopening on July 1st, we have determined specific guidelines are needed in order to keep our staff and customers healthy and for the longevity of our shop. These precautions are within CDC recommendations and our new protocols requiring scheduled appointments to maintain our maximum occupancy, consent forms, temperatures be taken and gloves and masks to be worn, are advertised publicly. RecommendedI think it's a shop with a great variety of products, the have everything for been a Rock Shop. They got beads, minerals from all over the world, lamps, sculptures and tools for making tumbled stones and handcrafted jewelry. This shop is at Lakewood- CO, but you can contact them at their website and their social medial - FB and IG. 😁

What an excellent store to find what you just might need for jewelry making!! They have tons of outstanding beads, from glass to precious stones!! Desert Gems is a feast for the eyes! It's a like a candy store filled with luscious colors and variety! If rocks and large stones are your passion, these folks as well provide! - Super NICE friendly staff. You can feel they enjoy their work! Thanks to them for years of 5 star satisfaction!!
I’ve been going to this store for many years. It is my “go to”. Dave and Crystal and all the staff go out of their way to help me find solutions for my jewelry needs. The selections are overwhelming! You need to go there!!!!

I love this store. I always find exactly what I need, even when I don't know what I need. Dave is a wonderful, one-of-kind character and really knows his stuff. The staff is kind, helpful and have that rare, old-fashioned kind of friendliness that I end up chatting with long after I've made my purchase. I've been to hundreds of gem and rock shops and this is truly one of my very favorites.
