I imagine it’s a difficult business to be in - reshaping people’s faces. A facial surgeon is tampering with our entire sense of self and carries the weight of our expectations, hopes, and trust. Coming up with the money to have everything done is a story by itself, but when you do finally figure and grind it all out, you're in for the ride of your life. I am now four months out from surgery and I can say that my experience getting FFS with Dr. D was fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the results. He does a great job of working with patients to understand their goals; I told him that my biggest priorities were a natural looking result and to get as close as I could to passing and he delivered 100%. Met with DB for a FFS consult and was impressed with the office and service. Staff were professional, DB was very down to earth. OU alumni like myself actually... Appreciated the thoroughness of the radiology scans as well, as some surgeons don't do these. Ended up going with a different surgeon for insurance reasons, but enjoyed my visit in SF.
I am not using my real name here because I would rather remain anonymous. The only thing I wanted when I went to DB was to be able to pass as a woman, I didn’t ask to be pretty, because I knew that wasn’t going to happen, and DB basically took a massive sum of money from me and lied that he could do this for me. I am 1.5 years out from surgery and I have not passed once, no matter how much effort I put in.
