Ordered the Pot Roast Special, and when it arrived it was cold. Sent it back, and it came back slightly warm. Even though it wasn't hot, it was delicious, and the waitress couldn't have been nicer. This was my fourth time dining at this restaurant, and the first time I have had a problem. I will definitely return, and even order the pot Roast again. Hopefully it will be hot.
Food was okay but service was only fair. Server took about 10 minutes to take our order. The server didn't share with us that you could go for seconds on the soup, and at the end the server and another customer or employee stood on either side of our table and had a long conversation about getting together later...talking right over me while my friend was using the facilities.
Expect HUGE portions when ordering. I had the BLT which was pretty good. Milkshake was nice. Appetizer sampler was a lot and very good
My Sister and I were in San Diego from Henderson, Nevada, visiting family and friends. We were a party of 12 having breakfast here on Saturday, November 26, 2016. The ambiance was great, and the food even better. My order of eggs over medium, bacon crisp, hash browns w/onions, and sourdough toast was cooked to perfection. Just about everyone at the table ordered something different. I will definitely request that we eat at Descanso Junction Restaurant again the next time I come to visit!!!

Food was good, service was off. Took the server 10 minutes to come take our order, then the people who sat down next to us afterwards & ordered way after us, got their food before we did. Food took over 30 minutes to arrive; I had the tri-tip with scrambled eggs & home fries and my brother had the French toast combo with bacon & eggs over easy...not exactly a 30 minute prep time type of meal. Descanso Junction catered our daughter's wedding last Saturday. I can't praise them enough. The food was prepared and set out on time and was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Descanso Junction for any catering needs that your may have.
