Dan Dermer is an unethical business person. After being good tenants in one of his buildings for 9 years he is claiming he does not have our security deposit and is ignoring our calls and messages. We paid rent on time every month, satisfied every obligation under our lease, and left the space in very good condition. He is stealing our money.
Dermer Management is the managing office for my co-op and an excellent management company at that! I will say as a first-time co-op owner I was surprised by the number and cost of fees but you truly do get what you pay for! Dermer is engaged, responsive, and professional. Laurie in particular is always a great help and quick to respond when needed. Especially after speaking with friends in other co-ops I do feel very lucky to have their management!
In this challenging real estate market, we had a listing that was on the market for quite a long time. During that time, we had numerous questions for Ms. Parra. She was always prompt, knowledgeable and helpful with her replies and feedback. Her help and guidance was very much appreciated.
This building management company refused to let me live in an condo apartment building because of my race, even after I signed a leased with the landlord. I just moved from San Francisco and suddenly I had no place to live. I had to stay in a hotel for more than two months with an infant. It caused so much suffering and trauma to us.
