Dr. Alanen came highly recommended and required my family doctor’s referral, but it took months to get an appointment. I was able to, underwent a consultation, and was prescribed various medications for an unknown rash that I have had since July 2023. I was able to book a follow-up appointment, for many months later, and called days in advance to confirm. Went in for a mole check and while the doctor was perfectly nice, it felt extremely rushed - he was in and out of the room in less than 5 minutes. I have lots of moles on my back and shoulders, but he did not check under my sports bra, nor my feet soles, nor my scalp (which all my previous dermatologists checked!), and used the dermatoscope only on one mole. I am sure he is extremely knowledgeable, but considering this check up costs close to $300, it did unfortunately not feel thorough at all and very rushed.
I very happy with my first visit. No waiting time, super friendly stuff and Dr. Alanen very easy to work with. My skin tag was quickly removed during the first visit.
