I booked an appointment with a specific doctor, and was told that his first availability was six months out but that appointments with other doctors in the office were available sooner. Having received recommendations for this particular doctor, I opted for the six month wait. It was not until I was in the examination room and a different doctor entered (a first year resident) that I became aware that my appointment would not, in fact, be with the doctor with whom I had to wait six months to get an appointment (who has over ... read more

I was referred for a skin cancer screening because I recently moved to NYC and am high risk. I was told the doctor didn't have openings for 3 months but scheduled nonetheless. I called a week before when they sent an estimated bill for $300 (it should have been a free preventive care appointment). Turns out they scheduled it wrong, so now my appointment is in 2.5 more months. Haven't even been yet and it's already a miserable experience like much of healthcare in the USA.

I asked for a referral for a dermatology consultation and they booked me an appointment with split billing and sent me a bill for $440, not covered by my deductible, even though I needed this to go through my insurance, which is why I asked for a referral in the first place. I have been calling about this for 4 months to get a straight answer about this sleazy practice, transferred to different departments for billing which are no help, left dozens of messages for the manager, Jesus, who never called me back with an explanat... read more

The service is terrible , the 2 ladies at reception all they did was talk about how there’s no need to make things difficult for them . My appointment was at 9 am it’s now 10:30 and I have yet seen the doctor or anyone . Also they call me a week prior my appointment letting me me know of a $450 copay when I make sure to make the appointment there cause is on the network of my insurance so I knew for sure i didn’t had to pay anything . So I call the insurance company and had them call the dermatologist office and very that fo... read more

The doctors are good, but the service is bad, like much of Mount Sinai. They didn't notify me that a prescription had lapsed and then wouldn't accommodate an emergency request to get a refill. They don't let you call the office directly and make you dial a customer service operator who doesn't have any power to help. After insisting to talk to someone (20 minutes later), they said I had to come in and offered me an appointment in 10 days, leaving me without medication I need. I was able to call another provider and get a nex... read more
