**Update <6 months later: I ended up seeing another dermatologist in Las Cruces regarding a spot I was concerned about and was monitoring on my own for the last 3 months. The exam & diagnosis concluded that it is actinic keratosis (precancerous). I’m even more confident in my assessment that I did not have a thorough skin exam at Dermatology of Las Cruces.
