Experienced, highly competent, serious but also fun dermatologist. You can’t find real derms like him anymore. He’s not doing botox. I paid out of pocket and could not be happier. Biopsy healing nicely.
Dr. Shanker was extremely dismissive and condescending throughout my visit. I came in for evaluation and possible biopsy of suspicious moles, but he denied biopsies almost immediately without performing a proper skin examination or using a dermatoscope. There was no attempt at shared decision-making or discussion of risks and benefits. Instead, my concerns were dismissed outright, and I was made to feel unreasonable for wanting further evaluation. I’ve been seeing Dr. Shanker for years and he’s an excellent dermatologist who is knowledgeable and kind. My whole family has gone to him for different things and he’s helped all of us tremendously.
Dr. Shanker is a very wonderful doctor who is very friendly and caring. He took his time with me and I plan on going back again for other mole removals. The entire staff was warm and friendly.
