I visited Dr. Mel for the first time a few days ago, the staff there was extremely helpful and friendly! Dr. Mel himself went above and beyond for my sweet girl Mia, he made sure I understood everything he was suggesting, and did not make me feel stupid for asking questions. I work in this industry, and to find an experience like this was extraordinary, and I would recommend even the closest friends to this wonderful practice!
Dr Mel and all the staff are so sweet to my dog Gretta. They are always thorough and make sure she has the meds she needs to keep her skin healthy and comfortable!
my first appt with Dr Mel a few weeks ago. I was really impressed with both him and his staff. He explained everything at a level I could understand, listened to all my questions and concerns and provided a treatment plan that I was comfortable with despite me being a slightly difficult client. 😹😹 My cat was also calm and relaxed during his exam and handling of her, which is always a good sign. His staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the office was one of the cleanest I've been in. Worth every penny we spent and would... read more
Looking forward to working with Dr. Mel to get to the bottom of Roxi's feet and licking issues. Feel hope that we might resolve this. Wish we came here a year ago!
GrisGris had non stop serious staph ear and tummy infections for 18 months before we met Dr. Mel. I was ready to throw in the towel and have ear surgery. Dr. Mel gave GrisGris back her life pain free and no more non stop itching!! We had literally been to all the dog derms in the area except Dr. Mel. He recognized that she not only had environmental allergies but also food allergies. He made adjustments for her tiny ear canals and the meds. IMHO, He was the game changer. Thank you Doctor Mel and the wonderful staff at DCA!!
I can not tell you how many vet visits my mom took me to before coming to DCA and meeting Dr. Mel. I am a 101/2 year old cocker. I have had a GI issue for YEARS. I eat EVERYTHING! Mom used to call each porker spaniel. I have been back and forth to our regular vet. My symptoms were bouts of diarrhea, blood in stool, foul smelling stool, lameness, vomiting, - each time I go to the vet only to be told he had colitis. Normal cultures. They would still give me metronidazole - the symptoms would clear for a week - then return. Mom ... read more
The staff and doctor were really nice and caring to my dogs skin problem.
After several years of taking our Doxie, Molly to several vets and spending thousands of dollars, we finally found Dr.Mel. On our first visit, Dr. Mel even offered to stay late because we couldn't make it to his office before closing time. He was very thorough, informative and explained everything in layman's terms. He suspected that Molly had Cushing's disease (which was confirmed by lab tests) and also educated us in what what home treatment needed to be done in order for Molly's treatment to be successful. I highly recomm... read more
