The hubby and I stopped in Staunton on our way back to home from a wedding and came across this little gem. Actually, we asked the locals for a great place to eat, and the Depot Grille seemed to be the favorite, hands-down! Well deserved, too. Our server, Mike, made an already good meal even better with his warmth, friendliness, and professionalism! The beef medallions and the crab cake sandwich were delicious. If you're ever in this beautiful town, be sure to stop at the Depot Grille for a delicious adventure in dining!
We were visiting from New York and stopped in for dinner. Love different places like this. We sat in authentic church pews and had the best dry rub ribs we ever had in our lives! Will definitely return on our next stop over.
Nice staff, great bison burger and satisfactory assortment of beer. What else does one need? A ghost sighting might have gotten the Depot one more star.
Enjoyed our dinner Saturday evening! Was td our wait wod be about 10-15 mins, so we went to the gorgeous antique bar and sat. No sooner had our drinks arrived, but our table was ready. Delicious food, quality service, busy but comfortable.

My wife and I stayed in Staunton on our way from Florida to our summer home in MA. We had dinner here and it was a very good choice. The meal was very good and it was reasonably priced. The best part of our visit was the waiter, Christopher Washington. He is probably the friendliest and most personable waiter I've had in 50 years of dining out. I'm sure the other servers were very nice, but if you go there, I would ask for Christopher.
Last time was an absolute 5 stars. Tonight was disappointing. I ordered the NY strip special. It was okay. Not terrible. Not great. My husband ordered the mussels and ahi tuna. Service was very slow. Half the mussels didn't open and sold out so couldn't order more. He then orders steamed shrimp. ...spoiled, so returned them. He just couldn't win. The bartender was fantastic.
