Hands down my favorite coffeehouse in Urbana. Did the math last year and our household spent in excess of $5k in 2024. However, the running joke in our household (not a funny one) is "will Depot actually be open for their posted hours"? I have nevvvaaaa seen a business with as inconsistent of hours as the Depot. Depot turning into Crabill's over here with their hours. I feel like having to check their Facebook page before venturing out to get coffee to check if they will be open has gotten ridiculous.
My wife and I stopped in today for the first time. Wide variety of coffees & sandwiches, as well as rolls, breads etc to go with your drink. Located inside the actual depot, with rustic, old wood furniture. Outdoor seating is available but since it's February we sat inside. Pleasant staff, good coffee and food. We'll be back.
I really like this place! It’s so much better than any other coffee place in Urbana. There’s a cute interior inside an old train depot, plenty of inside and outside seating, and lots of parking. Lots of baristas, the one who helped me was friendly. I had the New Orleans cold brew and the Mediterranean sandwich, both were great. I’ll for sure come back here.
