The schedule for number of days needed in the lab does not include the day that the case is received. For local cases, same day relines, repairs, custom impression trays, and wax rims are available. I was assured they would be able to make the denture I needed. After a great many visits they final threw up their hands and said "that's the best we can do". It did not fit correctly, and broke not long after. This did not prevent them from keeping my money, and the money they took from my insurance company however. Their fees was higher than is appropriate for this area, but what can you do?
